Environment and art works are known to have positive effects on the healing and therapeutic processes. In the medicinal history, the healing power of music has been used throughout the evolution of medicine. There is little research on the healing effect of visual esthetic elements although the healing effect of music has been investigated extensively. Recently, health care centers have started using the healing effect of environment and visual esthetic elements successfully on a global scale. In this study, the healing effect of environment and visual esthetic elements was investigated on the staff, patients and patient relatives. The effects of environment and visual esthetic elements on the healing and therapeutic processes and the morality of the staff, patients and patient relatives were defined. Accordingly, the significance of the positive healing effect of environment and visual esthetic elements was analyzed as an integral element of the hospital. Thus, by assessing the results with regard to the rights of the patient, we hope to contribute to develop an environment interlaced with ethical and esthetic elements for the most qualified service.
