This study examines the optimal allocation
of the n sized sample which is selected from the population in Stratified
random sampling under the non-linear cost constraint and the conditions in
which the variance of sample mean statistics is minimal.
By using linear cost constraint, selecting
a one-unit in stratum is caused a one-unit increase in linear cost constraint. However,
considering the non-linear cost constraint, the impact of divergent increases
on cost constraint can be investigated. In this study, how the divergent
increases on non-linear cost constraint effect the variance of sample mean
statistics is examined by simulation study.
