Lung metastases are a common problem in the follow-up of malignancies. Although, it's usually found as a manifestation of a systemic dissemination, isolated lung metastases can be found in %20 of patients. Role of surgery for colorectal hepatic metastases has been clear; however, there is no standart approach for the pulmonary metastases which may also get benefit from surgery. In non-randomised studies, pulmonary metastasectomy could be helpful for the control of disease especially in some malignancies including osteosarcomas and germ cell tumors. Herein, we report the role of pulmonary metastasectomy in various cancer types.
