Abstract

The roots of Buxus papillosa have yielded three new steroidal alkaloids, (+)papillotrienine [1], (+)-N(b)-demethylpapillotrienine [2], and (+)-N(b)-demethylharappamine [3]. The structures have been determined on the basis of spectroscopic studies.
