This study deals with the evaluation of the thoughts of Cumalikizik village people related to the cultural heritage, cultural tourism and tourism alone. The study was carried out with the survey method. The sample of the study was constituted by 182 local inhabitants. The introduction of the country is of great importance in cultural tourism. Since the tourists which participate in cultural tourism have high education levels with inquisitory and curious character and give importance to the local culture, share the information they acquire with others and protect the touristic values. The cultural values of Cumalikizik village resulted in the proposal that it should be included into UNESCO world heritage list. The international recognizance of the region with help of the globalization process is of great importance. However the protection of the cultural values is equally important. Otherwise the local cultural values may be distorted. There are two boutique hotels and two pensions in the region for the accommodation of the tourists. These are not adequate to meet the demand at weekends. One third of the inhabitants rent the part of their houses to the tourists. There was an ethnographic museum and Art house established in the village in order to protect and transfer the solid and abstract cultural values to the coming generations. The attitude of the women towards the tourists is much more positive then the men. Three quarters of the participants think that they could not get enough shares from the touristic income.
