Özet

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a high-grade and aggressive sarcoma. It is relatively rare in the head and neck region. Itsdiagnosis is based on immunohistochemical stains. An 81-year-old male patient was referred to our clinic with a mass in the left maxillary sinus and toothache. He did not have any nasal obstruction, epistaxis or anosmia. The patient received a total left maxillectomy with preservation of the orbital contents. Five months after the surgery, the patient was clinically well without any evidence of local recurrence or distant metastasis. Three-dimensional computed tomography is valuable in the detection of involvement of surrounding tissues.
