The Turks have given places to the weavings which are singly aesthetical worth in every area of their lives. The carpet named Cige'li (means with tick) which belongs to Cayan Turcomans who live in Cayhan, Eregli, Konya was also weaved by this mentality. Material, color, ornamental use and design features are striking. This carpet was firstly determined and studied by us in its own land. As the name says (implies), the dancing shamans were placed ternate separately in groups in five hearths to protect the houses of human beings from ticks. This peculiar sample doesn't show similarities with the other carpets according to the comparison made by us. It is a very valuable product which is weaved with the purpose of keeping the house against black souls and ticks also in addition to protect from cold. Moreover, it has to take its fully justified place in our cultural history through my article because of having the traditional structure. (Cev: Dr. Ali SAYAR Konya /Eregli Devlet Hastahanesi)
