High-voltage high-frequency (HVHF) transformers are crucial to many modern power electronics systems. Determining their performance and efficiency of their parasitic parameters such as parasitic capacitance leakage inductance and is vital. Most of the time, these parameters are analysed separately but, for accurate transformer optimization and design, a combined analysis is very crucial. This paper explains both the leakage and parasitic capacitance calculations for an HVHF transformer designed and built in our laboratory. Based on the established analytical methods, these parasitic parameters are calculated considering the geometrical and material properties of the transformer. The results are validated numerically using finite element analysis. Transformer losses are also calculated.
