Özet

In this study, a vibratory horizontal attritor that has working speeds of 500, 700 and 900 rpm, and tank capacities of 3/2, 2 and 3 liters was designed and constructed. This attritor was used in milling of alumina (Al 2O 3) powders produced by Eti Holding A.S. with 1/4″ diameter balls for 1:5, 1:10, 1:20 and 1:40 powder/ball weight ratios and 1, 5 and 10 hours durations. Milling characteristics of alumina for different milling times and powder/ball ratios were investigated.
