Leaf beetles of Kayseri province with new and interesting data for Turkey: Part II – Subfamily Alticinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)

Özet

The paper presents updated fauna of Alticinae subfamily of Kayseri province with new and interesting data. In the present study, a total of 3940 flea beetle specimens were collected and evaluated from various localities in Kayseri province in 2015-2019. Accordingly, the current fauna of Kayseri province includes 105 species (including previously known species) of 12 genera belonging to Alticinae subfamily. With the present study, 88 species which 29 of them are also previously known species, are studied and evaluated, thus, the known fauna of Kayseri province was increased 55 percent. Longitarsus brunneus Duftschmid and Longitarsus symphyti Heikertinger are the first records from Turkey. Also, Phyllotreta bilgeae Özdikmen-Coral Şahin and Psylliodes reitteri Weise are the second reports from Turkey. In addition, a total of 19 species are also reported from Central Anatolian region of Turkey for the first time. Moreover, while 59 of 88 species are recorded from Kayseri province for the first time, 49 of them are the little-known or rare taxa for Turkey. On the other side, an evaluation on the complete fauna of Chrysomelidae family of Kayseri provine and a complete faunistic list are provided in an appendix.
