Introduction: The first case of our clinic who underwent retroperitonoscopic partial nephrectomy due to small, solitary lower pole renal tumor was presented by regarding current literature. Materials and Methods: Vascular control was ensured by Satinsky clamp which was applied with additional 12 mm trocar placed in 5 cm anteriorly from the camera trocar. Fibrin sealant was performed in tumor bed for bleeding control. Two interrupted 2.0 vicryl sutures are placed over a pre-prepared Surgicel bolster (Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, NJ) that has been positioned over the cut surface of the kidney. Results: In our first retroperitonoscopic experience, surgical time was 187 minutes, clamping time was 22 minutes. Intraoperative bleeding was 125 ml. Postoperative 2nd day retroperitoneal drain was pulled out and the patient discharged in 3rd postoperative day. Conclusion: Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy become feasible surgical procedure owing to advances in intracorporeal stich and renal hypothermia techniques. However, long term oncologic results are not clear. Besides small surgical explosure, retroperitonoscopic partial nephrectomy may be an alternative technique in selected patients regarding tumor size and location.
