Low-power voltage sensors are produced at all voltage levels and are designed as a powerful alternative to inductive-type voltage transformers currently used in transmission and distribution networks. The approximate weight of an inductive voltage transformer used at 36kV level in our country's most common distribution networks is around 40-45kg. This structure's silicon steel, epoxy resin, and insulation papers cover approximately 85-90% of the total weight and are entirely import-based materials. The total weight of the voltage sensor designed at the same voltage level was around ≈2.9kg, which would help significantly reduce the amount of imported input using raw materials. Instead of inductive-type voltage transformers used in medium voltage switching and control schemes at medium voltage (36kV) level, a low-power voltage sensor with a resistive divider was designed, and prototype production was carried out.
