Comparison of Technology Citizens and Technology Immigrants' Information Security Awareness

Özet

In our digitizing world, Our Internet connected life is increasing day by day. The authentication has become a vital part because of the interconnected devices included in our personal or corporate life. Just like in the real world, the identification of people and systems in the internet world, verification of identity, legal, institutional authority and responsibility, personal security and so on has become compulsory due to circumstances. In addition to the increase in the number of transactions carried out over the internet network, the increasing interest in social networks increases the interest of cyber attackers in terms of information theft. Therefore, it is clear that information security should be considered along with developing technology. In the case of information security, it is thought that each person's perspectives on information security may be different according to the generation to which they belong. In this article, a study that reveals the perspectives of children / adolescents who are born in technology and older adults who migrate to technology, and the issues of adaptation to information security awareness and information security management system were investigated. An information security awareness survey consisting of 20 questions was prepared in the study. The questionnaire was applied to 150 people. 75 of the subjects were selected from the young generation of 15-20 age group, known as technology citizens, while 75 were selected from 55-70 age group. According to the survey results, information security awareness of technology citizens and migrants were measured and the results were shared.
