Özet

For the last 30 years, biological effects of Non-Ionizing Radiation (NIR : 0-300 GHz) has got the top position in the scientific area, since a large population of the people are exposed to these fields. In this study, we evaluated the Radio Frequency Radiation (RFR) at a pilot region located in Yenimahalle Sentepe Dededoruk Hill, in Ankara, Turkey. There are 64 different TV and radio towers and one base station at that region. With this study we calculated RFR of 14 radio transmitters. Although the base station, TV transmitters and some of radio transmitters are not included in the calculations, the radiation is found 388 % more than the permitted standard values of Turkey.
