In this study, the physical and mechanical properties of mortar specimens prepared by substituting natural and calcined forms of zeolite, abundant in reserves in our country, for cement have been investigated. In this study, specimens measuring 50x50x50 mm were produced by substituting 15% natural and calcined zeolite for cement. On the prepared specimens, compressive strength tests at 3, 7, 28, and 90 days were conducted; additionally, capillary water absorption, ultrasonic pulse velocity, wetting-drying tests, and microstructure properties were examined using SEM analyses. According to the results obtained from the study, it was observed that calcined zeolite, when substituted for cement, improved the properties of the mortar and yielded more favorable results compared to the control mortar. It has been observed that mortars containing calcined zeolite are more impermeable compared to the control mortars and provide more favorable results in terms of durability.
