The present study was carried out to asses the population structure, growth and condition factor of Chub (Squalius cephalus L., 1758), between June 2007 and June 2009, in Sakarya River Kirmir Stream. The age of S. cephalus caught from Kirmir Stream ranged between 1 to 6 years. The sex percentage was determined as 52.32 % males and 47.68 % females. Fork length of fish ranged from 8.85 to 19.40 cm and body weight of fish ranged from 9.99 to 125.33 g. The von Bertalanffy growth equations were: L-t = 28.11 [1 - e(-0.149(t+1.54))] for females and L-t = 27.33[1 - e(-0.169(t+1.31))] for males; W-t = 320.08:[1 - e(-0.149(t+1.54))](3.06) for females and W-t = 293.99[1 - e(-0.169(t+1.31))](3.06) for males. The condition factor was calculated as 1.43 and 1.38 for females and males, respectively.
