8th IEEE International Conference on Smart Grid, 17 - 19 Haziran 2020
Smart grids as an important driving force in ensuring the sustainability of the energy sector unveil the energy efficiency potential both on the grid side and on the consumer side, in addition to their contribution in reducing economic costs and combating climate change. Policy makers may consider different options to achieve sustainable transformation by imposing regulations, facilitating access to finance or using various market mechanisms. In this paper, the policy instruments used in Turkey for the dissemination of smart grids are examined, and several policy implications are presented for developing countries.
