Özet

The usage of Electric Vehicles (EVs) has become much more common in recent years, with the reduction of fossil resources. Some countries are considering banning the sale of vehicles with internal combustion engines. As a result of increase in usage of EV, the consumption of electrical energy is increasing exponentially. If this energy demand can be met by renewable energy sources rather than fossil fuels in the future, then these restrictions for sale of combustion engine vehicles will make sense. In this study, charging of electric cars powered by a grid-connected solar power plant with IMW installed power in a workplace parking lot located in Ankara province of Turkey is discussed. In this design, 33 Mode-3 22kW electric charging stations are used and energy flows analyzed with PV syst software. The energy produced through solar systems, the energy consumed, the energy sold to the grid, and losses have been calculated. The results show that usage of the energy generated by solar energy systems for charging electric vehicles is much more profitable in economic terms compared to selling it to the grid traditionally. This approach and obtained results show that reduce the payback time of the proposed system.
