Özet

In this study, the sliding mode controller (SMC) is designed for the load frequency control of a two-area interconnected power system. The optimal parameters of the SMC are fine-tuned using meta-heuristic algorithms based on particle swarm and grey wolf. Initially, sensitivity analysis is performed to test the performance of the robustness of the designed SMC with system uncertainties. Also, the dynamic response of the power system using SMC at step load deviations is shown. As a result of all analyses, it has been revealed that SMC is successful as traditional controllers.
