Özet

Due to the increasing demand for agricultural food products, the usage of pesticides is increasing to deal with pests. Therefore increasing pesticide residues has posed significant concerns to the ecosystem and human health. For this reason, there has been an increasing interest in sensor-based rapid screening systems for pesticide detection. Electrochemical sensor systems are widely regarded as robust analytical tools for pesticide monitoring, owing to their significant advantages, including high sensitivity, selectivity, ease of use, and fabrication. These capabilities make them ideal for in-field and online environmental analysis. Numerous approaches have been documented in the literature concerning the creation and enhancement of electrochemical sensors used in detecting pesticide residues. In this chapter, we have outlined the recent advancements in utilizing electrochemical sensors for detecting pesticides. Additionally, we discussed the construction and analytical use of electrochemical sensors for swift pesticide detection.
