Özet

The hydrogen production potential was examined by integrating the vanadium chloride (VCl) thermochemical cycle hydrogen production facility into the PACER fusion reactor. A mixture of 98% LiF and 2% (ThF4+ MAF4) nuclear fuel was used as the coolant in the PACER fusion reactor coolant zone. TBR value was obtained by neutronic analysis. The highest TBR value was obtained from 95% ThF4 and 5% MAF4, while the lowest TBR value was obtained from 75% ThF4 and 25% MAF4. In addition, increasing the MAF4 ratio in the nuclear mixture increased the M value and the amount of hydrogen production. The highest M and hydrogen production values were obtained from the nuclear mixture of 75% ThF4 and 25% MAF4. While the highest M was 1.44, the highest H2 value was calculated as ~6.4 kg/s.
