Abstract

Scorzoncra yildirimlii A. DURAN et HAMZAOGLU sp. nov. from southwestern Turkey is described and illustrated. It is related to S. pygmaea SIBTH. & SM. and S. rigida AUCHER, from which it mainly differs in its habitus, leaves, phyllaries and features of the pappus hairs.
