Abstract

Sustainable development has been a key concept in debates on environment and also become a strong motive in guiding the thinking in the area of environmental education in recent years. However, the discussion about sustainable development and education for sustainable development is going on. This paper focused on the historical progress of environmental education through the disputatious concept sustainable development.
