Özet

This study has been performed in order to determine the issues encountered in teaching of the biology subjects included in the lesson of science at the elementary schools. The study has been realized through questionnaires applied to 63 science teachers performing their mission at the elementary schools at the town of Sorgun and the town of Yerköy affiliated with the province center of Yozgat and with 164 students totally attending to 8th grade of the elementary school at the town of Sorgun in 2002-2003 instructional year. As a result of data analysis, it has been determined that a great number of issues were being encountered in the teaching of biology subjects involved in the lesson of science.
