Machine selection is one of the most important decisions for the companies. This decision affects productivity, cost, flexibility and quality of the company in both short and long term. Selection of the appropriate machine for the production process also provides great advantages for the competition in the market. Selection the best alternative by the decision-makers is quite difficult due to the requirement of multi-criteria and too many alternatives in the advanced technology. In this study, a machine selection problem was handled for a machining company and the alternatives were ranked with TOPSIS, AHP, ELECTRE and PROMETHEE methods. Moreover, the results were comparatively analyzed and discussed that which method is appropriate for machines selection problems.
