Özet

Iraq Turkmens are small but dynamic component in the Turk World, actually with this feature they became powerful bearers of the tradition and the oral culture. These people are mostly popular with their special genre "hoyrat", however beside this, it is possible to sight common characteristic with the other traditional genres of Turkish culture like turku, mani, hikaye etc. The story of Arzi Qamber (Arzu and Qamber) is the most popular and common folk tale in Iraq Turkmen regions and on the other hand this is the first written text in this region. In this study the comparison of the two different versions as motif, type, inverse and prose parts will be determined. Along with this, the text which completed in 1950 and the version Tuzhurmati which was published in 1993 will translated to Latin.
