From the aerial parts of Stachys byzantina, two new megastigmane glucosides, byzantionosides A and B, were isolated, together with the known glycosides, icariside B-2, blumeol C glucoside, (6R, 9R)- and (6R, 9S)-3-oxo-alpha-ionol glucosides and verbascoside. The structures of the new compounds have been elucidated by spectroscopic means. Copyright (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
