Abstract: This research is a case study of a third grade student who has reading and comprehension difficultiesto identify and overcome these difficulties. In the study, firstly, the reading difficulties and reasons of a studentwith reading and comprehension difficulties were determined, and then the methods that could be applied toovercome these difficulties were determined. Error Analysis Inventory was used to determine the students'reading and comprehension errors. It was observed that the student made reading mistakes such as skipping,adding, misreading and repeating while reading that was made before the student started the applications. Ithas been determined that the students' mistakes are generally caused by incorrect spelling, lack of motivationand reading less. In order to eliminate these problems, a five-week curriculum was applied to the student. Inorder to use in the studies conducted to eliminate the reading difficulties of the students, different reading textssuitable for the third grade level were selected and the study was carried out on these pieces by methods suchas repeated reading, echo reading, and paired reading. While the word recognition and comprehension levelsof the students were at the anxiety level in the pre-test results before the application started, it was observedthat they increased to the instruction level as a result of the post-test performed after the application
