We report a case of a 94-year-old woman admitted to the emergency service with an acute urinary retention complaint. We determined a 2 x 2 cm lesion at the posterior lip of the external urethral mea and acute urinary retention based on this lesion, which was thought to be urethral caruncle on physical examination. A 16 F urethral catheter was administered to the patient and urethral caruncle excision was performed in elective conditions. The patient is under follow-up with local estrogen therapy.
