Özet

Radiation is a kind of energy spreaded by wave, particle or photon.

Radiation always exists in the nature with us. Radio waves used in radio and

television communication, x-rays used in medicine and industry and sun lights are

the types of radiation that we used to in our daily life. Radiation dedectors are used

to detect radiation.

In this study, radiation detectors are defined. Types of semiconductor detectors that

used in radiation detection were introduced with their types, properties, applications

and their specifications. The usage purposes of semiconductor detectors are given and

also are compared with other type of detectors which are used for similar purposes.

High accuracy multipurpose radiation detector is defined. Furthermore electronics

which are used with this type of detectors are explained and the advantage of which

are also listed.
