Özet
It is analyzed the problem which is related to identify the positions of the Search and Rescue (SAR) stations in the search and rescue area for Turkish Army Forces in this study. The aim of locating SAR stations is to interfere the events that can be happened and needed the search and rescue operations as soon as possible. The problem of identification of SAR station is modeled according to the problem of maximal covering location problem. The reason for using this model is that is wanted to use the most efficient way with the number of helicopters which are existed. Four main scenarios and two special situations (total 16 scenarios) are developed for the solution of this model. Optimal solutions are obtained by using LINGO 4.0. The solutions were compared to the existing situations and parametric analysis done.
