Abstract

The design of DC-DC step-down converter employing sliding mode strategy with Proportional-integral (PI) controller is discussed in this work. The control method uses the inductor current error as a sliding surface followed by a PI controller to regulate the output voltage. The performance of the studied system is examined beneath sudden changes of three parameters: the load, the input voltage and the desired output voltage.
