Abstract

Indirect field-orientation method is widely used to obtain high dynamic performance from induction motor drives. In order to obtain the full advantageous of this control technique the rotor time constant must be tracked on-line. In this paper, a rotor resistance compensation method based on stator model is proposed. The dynamic performance of the ac drive with this compensation method is studied and the simulation results are presented.
