Abstract

Terpolymer resins have been synthesized by the condensation of various phenols, aldehydes, and amino acids. The dependence of Ca2+ and Mg2+ exchange capacities on the natures of the monomers, pH, and regeneration has been studied and is discussed. Studies have been made to elucidate the structures.
