Türkçe Özet:
Mimari tasarımda ve dolayısıyla mimarın performansını değerlendirmek, sıklıkla öznel değerlendirmelere dayanan önemli zorluklar sunmaktadır. Daha yapılandırılmış ve nesnel değerlendirme çerçevelerine duyulan ihtiyacı ele alan bu makale, mimarların tasarım performansını değerlendirmek için sistematik bir yaklaşım olarak Hedefler Matrisi (HM) metodolojisini önermektedir. HM çerçevesi, müşteri/proje hedeflerinin ve kritik başarı faktörlerinin spesifik tasarım çözümleri ve performans nitelikleri ile açıkça eşleştirilmesini kolaylaştırır. Değerlendirmeyi önceden tanımlanmış, ağırlıklandırılmış hedefler etrafında yapılandırarak, bu metodoloji, geleneksel nitel eleştirilere kıyasla daha ölçülebilir, şeffaf ve tutarlı bir değerlendirme sağlar. Bu makale, performans ölçümünü iyileştirme, eyleme dönüştürülebilir geri bildirim sağlama ve nihayetinde tasarım kalitesinin ve hesap verebilirliğin artırılmasına katkıda bulunma potansiyelini savunarak, HM'nin mimarlık pratiğinde uyarlanması ve uygulanmasına yönelik kavramsal çerçeveyi ana hatlarıyla belirtmektedir.

English Abstract:
Evaluating the performance inherent in architectural design, and by extension, the performance of the architect, presents significant challenges often reliant on subjective assessments. Addressing the need for more structured and objective evaluation frameworks, this paper proposes the Objectives Matrix (OM) methodology as a systematic approach for assessing architects' design performance. The OM framework facilitates the explicit mapping of client/project objectives and critical success factors against specific design solutions and performance attributes. By structuring the evaluation around predefined, weighted objectives, this methodology enables a more quantifiable, transparent, and consistent assessment compared to conventional qualitative critiques. This paper outlines the conceptual framework for adapting and implementing the OM in architectural practice, arguing for its potential to enhance performance measurement, provide actionable feedback, and ultimately contribute to improved design quality and accountability.
