Özet

In this study, A Taguchi model were designed for turning AISI 316 Ti stainless steel. Experimental works were made on the conventional machine tools. Cutting tools that were manufactured with different edge geometries and coated with TiCN-Al203-TiN were used in the experimental works. Effects of edge geometry of cutting tools and used cutting parameters on the roughness of machined surfaces were investigated. Taguchi and ANOVA analysis were carried out. Graphs that are main effects and S/N ratios of factors were done. The experimental results have shown that main effects are feed rate (73.97%) and radius of edge (13.26%) for surface roughness. It was seen that cutting tools with smaller edge radius were wearer than others.
