Özet

Concept map can be used with different aims in teaching and learning contexts. This study mainly aims at examining the concept maps created by prospective teachers on teacher roles. Prospective teachers were asked to draw a concept map related to teacher roles in the course entitled as "Planning and Instruction in Teaching" after they were taught about the meaning of concept map and given some examples in the study. A total of 35 prospective teachers were the participants. The results revealed some interesting points regarding with how prospective teachers use concept maps. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd.
