Abstract

The system proposed in this study consists of power conversion structures, which provide network connectivity in accordance with the grid connection criteria, based on electronic bi-directional power conversion and the storage algorithm (Storing a portion of the energy produced at the predetermined time period and also giving to the network at the predetermined time). To realize (with local capabilities) the prototype of a domestic energy conversion system ( battery storage-based, modular, multipurpose, the capacity of 100 kWh energy and 100 kW power) which helps connection of the renewable energy sources to grid smoothly and reliably in terms of power generation characteristics. Also, the system helps to improve the smart grid concept. The aimed prototype is developed for a wind turbine. The simulations of the purposed system verified in PSCAD / EMTDC simulation environment.
