Abstract

Quantitative determination of Fluconazole in IV solutions was carried out by UV spectrophotometric method using the absorbance values at 261.6 nm and the second order derivative absorbance values at 274 nm. Distilled water was used as solvent throughout the study. The concentration range was 4.0 x 10(-4)-1.5 x 10(-3) M for the two spectrophotometric methods. While detection limit was 4.37 mug/mL in direct UV method. it was 2.63 mug/mL in derivative spectrophotometric method.
