Abstract

In this study, a heuristic routing protocol has been developed for wireless networks. Developed protocol prevents congestion by compensating load balance before congestion occurs. The protocol has been tested using ns-2 (network simulator 2) simulation tool and experimental results have been compared with Ad Hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol used commonly in wireless networks. Obtained results showed that the developed protocol is succesful for congestion prevention in wireless networks.
