The rapid change in the life of society with the development of communications technology within the last twenty years has brought a rapid transformation. The way people communicate underwent a complete change with the development of technology, internet has become widespread and internet is the new habitat for traditions. Folk culture elements have a dynamic structure and these elements continue to change and to transform in their new habitat: The internet. In folk culture the most widespread form of protection from evil eye is pouring lead. With modernization it has taken a new form in modern urban life by doing it in the virtual environment over the internet. In this study, while being performed in the traditional sense, with the widespread use of the internet, pouring lead by downloading an application to your mobile phone is discussed as a change and transformation of a cultural factor. With this direction, traditional context and virtual performance of lead pouring over internet is compared, the reason of differentiation in function and usage purpose is examined using the user comments in the internet site "Go Pour Some Lead" (Sen Bi Kursun Doktur). User comments have been analyzed according to criteria for this research and non-relevant comments have been eliminated and so that, 919 user reviews have been evaluated. Although user comments seemed like the comments were individual thoughts, it was found out that there was interaction between users. Therefore the users of "Go Pour Some Lead" website have been described as a social group and user reviews have been studied by the netnographic analysis. In this study, it was determined that with internet and mobile phones which has an important place in today's culture, pouring lead tradition was updated to meet the needs of modern man in the virtual environment. Thus, pouring lead, which has a curative character within its context, was reproduced virtually in the internet environment.
