Abstract

© 2021 IEEE.Nowadays, indoor mapping systems are widely used in areas such as hospitals, factories, shopping malls. Although research has been conducted to find a location in closed areas before, an industry-oriented performance enhancement project has not yet been developed and such a need has arisen. This paper proposes a genetic algorithm-based mapping system for the most appropriate transportation of parts within a factory. Thus, parts within the factory area are transported using the shortest path. The research and simulation results show that the genetic algorithm has been successful in transporting the parts without loss of time in a closed area. The most important feature that distinguishes this study from others is that it determines the shortest route, as well as providing maximum piece transportation according to the capacity.
