Özet

3D Co(II) {[(dpc)Co(dpc)Co(edp)1/2]}n, 1} and 1D Cu(II) {{[Cu(edp)(H2O)][Cu(dpc)2]}n, 2} novel polymeric complexes were synthesized form 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (H2dpc) and 4,4′-ethylenedipyridine (edp). The structures of complexes 1 and 2 were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, elemental analysis, AAS, FTIR, UV–Vis, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Complexes 1 and 2 have polymeric structures and crystallographic inversion centers in their symmetric units. The metal atoms exhibit a trigonal bipyramidal and octahedral geometry in complex 1, and a distorted square-pyramidal and T-shaped geometry in complex 2. A comprehensive examination was conducted on the antimicrobial susceptibility of all compounds against C. albicans (yeast), S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, E. coli, E. faecalis, L. monocytogenes, and B. subtilis (bacteria). The antimicrobial activities were contrasted with those of Fluconazole, Ketoconazole, Levofloxacin, Vancomycin, Chloramphenicol, and Cefepime.
