Bu çalışmanın amacı, Hollanda merkezli ölçme değerlendirme kurumu olan CITO’nun, ortaöğretime geçiş amacıyla 2019 yılında uyguladığı VWO merkezî Türkçe sınavının Barrett Taksonomisi basamaklarına göre incelenmesidir. Çalışmanın kapsamını 2019 yılında uygulanan VWO merkezî Türkçe sınavında sorulan metin altı soruları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada verilerin, 2019 yılında uygulanan VWO Türkçe sınavlarındaki metin altı sorularının bulunduğu yazılı materyaller yoluyla toplanması ve araştırma konusunun söz konusu soruların niteliği ile ilgili olması dolayısıyla nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizi yapılırken betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak, bulgular daha önce araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan kategorilere göre yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan 2019 yılı VWO Türkçe sınavındaki sorulara, Hollanda merkezli ölçme değerlendirme kurumu olan CITO’nun resmî internet sitesinden erişilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde; Türkçe ve Felemenkçe olmak üzere her iki dilden de soruların sorulduğu sınavda, Türkçe sorulan soru sayısının Felemenkçe sorulan soru sayısından fazla olduğu ve Türkçe Felemenkçe karışık soruların bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sınavda kullanılan soru türleri incelendiğinde, çoktan seçmeli sorulara diğer soru türlerinden daha fazla yer verildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Sınavda sorulan sorular, Barrett Taksonomisinin basamaklarına göre incelendiğinde ise; en çok soru sorulan basamağın basit anlama basamağı olduğu ve üst düzey düşünme becerisini gerektiren diğer basamaklara sınırlı sayıda soruyla yer verildiği saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları tartışılmış ve önerilere yer verilmiştir.
The aim of current study was to investigate the VWO central Turkish exam administered by CITO, which is a Netherlands-based assessment and evaluation institution, in 2019 for the transition to secondary education, according to the stages of Barrett’s Taxonomy. The scope of the study consisted of the sub-text questions asked in the VWO central Turkish exam applied in 2019. Qualitative research method was used in the research since the data was collected through written materials containing sub-text questions in the VWO Turkish exams administered in 2019 and the research subject was related to the quality of the questions in question. Whilst analyzing the research data, used the descriptive analysis method, the findings were interpreted according to the categories previously created by the researchers. The questions in the 2019 VWO Turkish exam used in the research were accessed from the official website of CITO, the Netherlands-based assessment and evaluation institution. When the findings obtained as a result of the research had been examined; In the exam, in which questions were asked in both languages, Turkish and Dutch, it has been determined that the number of questions asked in Turkish is more than the number of questions asked in Dutch, and also there were mixed questions in Turkish and Dutch. When the question types utilized in the exam were investigated, it was concluded that multiple-choice questions were given more space than other question types. While the questions asked in the exam were examined according to the steps of Barrett’s Taxonomy; It was determined that the most frequently asked step is the literal comprehension step and the other steps that required high-level thinking skills were included with a limited number of questions. The results of the research were discussed and suggestions were given in text.
