Mathematical and Computational Applications, cilt.7, sa.2, ss.103-112, 2002 (SCI-Expanded)
The applications of artificial neural networks (ANN) to robot control systems were presented. Adaptive neurocontrol architectures were introduced and compared to traditional adaptive control methods. Adaptability and ability to learn, fast real-time operation to reduce the dependency for massive computation on serial computers, less prior knowledge required and ease of integrating with other artificial intelligence techniques were presented as the main features of ANN for robot control.
