BE WELL, AND STAY SAFE: ADOPTION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN EXERCISE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC FROM PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING PERSPECTIVE Introduction and Aim: The COVID-19 pandemic has supported and even made transitions to digital environments necessary in many industries and society as a whole. Exercise practitioners in particular have rapidly adopted digital solutions and high-tech tools from the first stage of the pandemic. In this context, the speed of individuals to adopt digital solutions has also attracted attention. The aim of this research is to examine the practices of women who are using digital technologies in exercise from the perspective of psychological well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: Qualitative research method was preferred in order to analyze women's experiences of using digital solutions in exercise during the pandemic in terms of psychological well-being theory. The study group of the research consists of 12 volunteer women participants who use digital exercise applications during the pandemic. The study group of the research was selected with the snowball method and criterion sampling methods, which are among the purposive sampling methods. Personal information form and semi-structured interview form were used as data collection tools in the research. The interviews were conducted face to face. The research data were analyzed by subjecting content analysis. Findings: As a result of the content analysis, it is seen that the digital exercise programs applied during the pandemic have a positive effect on interpersonal interaction, and the participants adapt to the pandemic with the digital exercise programs. In addition, it is understood that the participants have developed psychologically, physiologically and socially through digital applications. In addition, it was determined that digital exercise programs increased the quality of life of the participants and exercise began to be seen as a life purpose. On the other hand, it is also among the findings that online exercise programs are an important factor in eliminating the negative effects of the pandemic. Conclusion: As a conclusion; it can be said that digital exercise solutions make a significant contribution to coping with the negative effect created by the pandemic, strengthen interpersonal social interaction, contribute to individual development and increase the quality of life.
