In this study, a performance measurement model is developed to rank automotive companies. Five large-scale public companies are selected and necessary financial ratios are obtained from their financial statements, made public in the web site of Istanbul Stock Exchange. In this study, financial ratios are explained and calculated values of the companies are discussed in detail. In the second part of the study, TOPSIS method (Technique for Order Priority of Similarity by Information System) is applied to combine different ratios to obtain a single performance score. The performance scores are used to rank the companies for the last four years, and the scores are compared with the companies' stock prices to determine the method's accuracy. Mixed results are obtained with the application of the method, and possible reasons of the deviations are also discussed in the paper.
