Özet

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) are commonly used in children for their anti-pyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. NSAIDs are one of the most common causes of drug related hypersensitivity reactions. The diagnosis of NSAID hypersensitivity (NSAID-H) based on history is often misleading in children who had reactions with NSAID intake. History of similar reactions on different occasions or anaphylaxis with NSAID intakes may also not support the diagnosis of NSAID-H. Physicians should perform provocation and/or prick/intradermal tests with suspected drugs for the definitive diagnosis of NSAID-H. This review provides data about the diagnosis, classification and treatment of NSAID-H in children according to the recommendations of European Network for Drug Allergy (ENDA). It is not known that the recommendations of ENDA are valid for children.
