Abstract

An investigation was made on the gonadosomatic index (GSI) and egg diameter of the specimens of Leuciscus cephalus caught from Cildir Lake in the period of 1991-1993. GSI values Varied between 0.81 and 12.96. The most intensive period for the reproduction was recorded in May-October, when water temperatures were 9.4, 10.4 respectively.
