Özet

Direct matrix converters (DMC) allow desired AC power flow from supply to load. Desired AC power means voltage and current having required magnitude and frequency. DMC is a type of AC-to-AC power converter having relatively small dimensions of circuits which provide substantial advantages to them. In this study, the new swarm intelligence (SI) based control method is suggested to control 3-phase DMC so as to improve the robustness of DMC control system which its importance increases in the renewable sources, energy restorers and variable speed drives technologies. The proposed method generates optimal switching states by using a swarm optimization algorithm and also applies them to the power switches of DMC. As example of SI based algorithm, Chaotic Based Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm is performed since their relatively short program codes and superior convergence performance. Also THD analysis is used in order to compose expected performance of the controller.
